About Your Brush

Before you start using your new Gua Sha Hair & Scalp Brush, let's get acquainted with its various features and components.

HOW IT WORKS

1
By scraping & massaging over Reflexology points throughout scalp, the needles de-stress and stimulate cranial acupressure points and scalp fascia

2
The gentle stimulation helps to boost, balance & improve blood circulation in the scalp

3
It is a drug-free, traditional wellness solution for post-partum & premature hair loss, hair thinning and excessive hair fall that's been used for generations in Asia

4
Also works as a sensory, de-stressing scalp massage tool that also helps brush through hair strands

5
Hand-made & assembled in Taiwan by traditional brush makers with a proprietary design and technique honed over decades for hair and scalp support

How To Use

STEP 1
Gently press and slide the needles of the brush against your hairline, starting from the tip of your scalp above your forehead and backwards in one smooth motion to the back of the scalp, and stopping at the base of your head.

STEP 2
Repeat 10 times and cover all areas of the scalp as much as possible.
We recommend doing this daily for at least 5 minutes.

STEP 3
You can also slide the needles all the way down the neck for a neck and shoulder massage.

For best results, sweep across the scalp twice daily while brushing clean, dry hair.
Individual results may vary, but many start seeing new baby hairs sprout after 3-4 months of daily use.

Apply gentle to medium pressure depending on preference. Sweep from the front of the hairline backwards in a pulling motion while brushing hair, ensuring to make contact with the scalp during hair brushing to activate massage function.

To Clean: Gently wipe needles with a damp, chemical-free cloth.
(Some jewellery polishing cloths contain chemicals that may cause the Gold plating to react)
To avoid water entering pinhole, do not rinse with water during cleaning.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Individual results may vary, but many start seeing new baby hairs sprout after 3-4 months of daily use. For best results, use the brush to stimulate the scalp while using the Tetrapeptide And Ginseng Hair & Scalp Serum.

It may look strange, but the hole in the brush cushion (not a missing bristle) is a pinhole that allows air to flow through (and allows the rubber to press downwards). If air is trapped inside the brush, it can't maintain elasticity during brushing. The pinhole is made by our artists burning a pin through the rubber by hand and is part of how old traditional handmade brushes are created.

The handle is made with an Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) thermoplastic body, selected for its durability and water resistance, and to keep production pressure off our elderly artists.
Though traditional wooden brushes take much longer to produce, and are more expensive, we also have a limited edition Wooden Gua Sha Brush in the works, so watch this space. ;)

Yes! It’s actually best used daily, as it can really repair and nourish dry strands throughout the day. Pair with the Tetrapeptide & Ginseng Hair and Scalp Serum for best results over time.

Yes, you can scrape from the top of your scalp all the way down the nape of your neck to your shoulders for a soothing massage. Please do not use it on the face and avoid the eye area at all times.

Do not rinse under running water. Wipe gently with a clean, damp facial cloth. Avoid using polishing cloth has these often contain chemicals that will react with the Gold plating.

Over time, the 24K gold will slowly wear off and be absorbed with use. This is normal and means that you're using it properly (and enough).

This doesn't affect product use or quality at all. We use 24K gold for its softness, health benefits and purity.
